Club Show Results 2012
The 2012 Club Show was another successful one for the Frill Canary Club.
Out of 180 Old and Rare Variety Canaries 62 were frills and were judge by Kevin McCallum, one of the top judges for these varieties.
Once again the Fiorino has proved to be the most popular breed with 36 birds benched.
This was the club’s 22nd anniversary, and to mark the occasion, special diplomas for best in each section were awarded, together with a beautiful rosette from B. P. C. Canary Club of Liege, Belgium; awarded for the Best Frill Canary and 3 Rosettes from the IOA awarded for Best Parisian, Best Fiorino and best North Frill.
Once again the show was sponsored by Simon’s Exclusive who donated vouchers for the value of over £50.00.
Major winners were:
Best Frill Canary and second best bird in show, a Rogetto Frill Canary exhibited by Simon Tammam.
Simon Tammam also took the specials for:
Best Parisian Frill, Best Fiorino and Best Rare Variety.
Best North Frill: Brian Hogg
Best Giboso: Bo Pawlyszyn
Best Junior Frill: Leo Franz
Next Show will take place once more in conjunction with the South Bucks Canary in High Wycombe on Saturday 16th November 2013 and will be judged by International Canary Judge Simon Tammam.
Only paid up members are to compete for the prizes, so if you have not paid your subs for this year yet, you are still on time, as long as you pay them by the 10th of November.
